MAYOR PROCLAIMS NOVEMBER TO BE ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS MONTH IN THE CITY OF BEAUFORT

Mayor Billy Keyserling presented Alzheimer’s Family Services of Greater Beaufort (AFSGB) with a proclomation declaring November to be Alzheimer’s Awareness month in the City of Beaufort. November is National Alzheimer’s Month. Receiving the proclamation were Michael Keyserling, President of the Board of Directors and Arlene Heape Hull, Executive Director. Accepting the proclamation on behalf of the Board, the Staff and most importantly, all of the Caregiver’s of loved ones with Alsheimer’s disease, Arlene Hull said the agency was honored by the recognition and the City of Beaufort’s commitment to promoting awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. Staff members and colunteers of AFSGB presented Council members and other attendees at the council meeting a purple wrist band emblazoned with the message “You are not alone”, neatly exemplifying the purpose of the eveining – awareness.
